Impacted Teeth

This is the most complicated case of impacted cuspids I have ever seen. The problem was the close proximity of the impacted cuspids to the roots of the lower incisors. The incisor roots were in danger of damage to the point of loss of one or more of the lower incisors.

The impacted cuspids were attached to a series of appliances I fabricated that allowed movement of the cuspids without contact with the lower incisor roots.

The final product is healthy roots with aligned teeth. The only alternative would have been removal of the impacted teeth and replacement with implants. Implants in a teenager are not a lifelong replacement. She would have had a lifetime of maintenance whereas with the natural teeth she will not require any more dental maintenance than anyone else.
