Bite Correction without Surgery
Before
Teeth can look straight and the bite can be damaging the teeth at the same time. Before TADs this case was not correctable without jaw surgery
After
The teeth do not look much different, however, if you look at the fit of the upper to lower teeth you will see that the bite is much improved.
Method
The correction of this patient's occlusion employed TADs (temporary anchorage devices), a new concept in orthodontics. TADs are mini implants placed in the bone to provide anchorage points to move teeth. TADs offer a stable anchor and virtually unlimited positioning of the force anchor. Please see the TAD page of this site for more information.
